Peter Terrett worked for the state government as a Geodetic and Topographic surveyor for more than 14 years. In early 1986 he started using GPS for surveying and immediately became very interested in its application and potential. About 18 years ago, Peter left to start a business providing hardware, software, consultancy and training in GPS for land base professionals.

Peter has supplied and supported many thousands of users over the years and is well known for the level of expertise and service he provides.

His business has been the recipient of several awards including AusIndustry Certificate of Achievement in recognition of innovation, the Robert Hoddle Award for innovation in regards to the Longford Gas Explosion, the 2008 Spatial Excellence Award for Innovation and Commercialisation and the 2009 Spatial Excellence Award for construction and infrastructure.

Peter is an alumni of Berkerley University (California), an Associate Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (AFAMI), a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) and lectures at the Swinburne ESTI (Emergency Services Training Initiative) in GPS for Emergency Services.
