Arrow Case Study: Modernising East Germany’s Mobile GIS
The Bodenverwertungs-und-verwaltungs GmbH (BVVG), a government organisation tasked with the privatisation of nationally owned lands in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), has committed itself to constantly innovating Parcel Management with GIS.
Previously, what they used in their fieldwork was an aging mobile GIS setup that includes heavy notebooks and GNSS receivers which are unreliable, especially in areas without cellular coverage. These became a challenge to them as they were brought with more frequent repairs and manual transfers of data.
As they strive to become more productive and to share georeferenced data easily and accurately from office to field and back, they are convinced that the Eos Arrow 100 together with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Collector (now ArcGIS Field Maps) are the right tools for them.
