Empowering GIS Users with Unprecedented Accuracy and Performance
Recent developments in GNSS technology have had a profound impact on various industries, particularly in terms of achieving higher accuracy in challenging environments. Thanks to the development of new technologies, users can now achieve reliable, unprecedented accuracy in more places than ever before, and at a much lower cost.
By having more satellites in orbit, the accuracy of location data is greatly enhanced. Additionally, the SouthPAN (Southern Positioning Augmentation Network) has played a critical role in increasing accuracy in environments where there are no local CORSNet base stations or wireless data coverage for connecting to the internet. SouthPAN is a network of ground-based reference stations that provides real-time corrections to satellite signals, allowing for more precise location data.
These corrections (clock and orbit) are broadcast by a Geostationary communication satellite giving complete coverage of all of Australia and New Zealand where you have a view of that satellite.
The Eos Arrow 100 receiver is a powerful tool for achieving high accuracy and performance in challenging environments such as tree canopies. Unlike GPS or GNSS receivers that only support GPS and GLONASS, the Eos Arrow 100 can use all four constellations, enabling more opportunities to use satellites that appear between branches of trees. This feature results in increased performance and accuracy, as it allows the receiver to utilise additional satellites that are in view.
